Help Support Our School
Our annual Calcutta event is our biggest and most successful fundraiser of the year, bringing in nearly half of all donations collected throughout the year. Although everyone has a slew of opportunities to make donations throughout the year, this event also brings together our broader community and financial supporters in a fun and unique way while building relationships and pride in our School.
Do you have questions about this year’s Calcutta Dinner and Auction, then please contact us.
We have a dedicated group of organizers working hard to plan every detail of this event so that we all can have the very best night out while raising the funds necessary to support our school community. If you have any interest in helping out with this event; know of a business willing to donate money or silent auction items or you yourself would like to plan or facilitate this event, please contact us!
We have compiled a list of Live and Silent Auction items as we collect them. Keep the excitement alive and come back often to see what else new we’ve added to this year’s auction items!

Silent Auction Items
We have dozens and dozens of items you can silently bid on throughout the night. And best of all, we have something for everyone: from grocery gift cards to a Pair of Lift Tickets at a local ski resort, from dinner for two at your favorite restaurant to a stack of new books to read to your children.
Make sure to view the whole list below!
Adding new items daily
On any day, you can see Monsignor Lavalley sitting and chatting with students or reading them a story, you can see Mr. Hill and Mr. Melnyk playing football at recess, you can see Principal Mr. Becker in a dunk tank, you can see Father Joseph Sanderson playing basketball or building legos….and the list goes on and on. This doesn’t happen at other schools and it is why SFX is so special! The kids don’t just see the adults as the people in charge – they see them as a part of their family and because of that, the students thrive.
– Chris Messineo, parent
Our son is being challenged and encouraged to explore his interests. Rather than being told to read a book because he is done his work ahead of others, he is given more difficult problems to solve or encouraged to research something of interest to him.
Being able to be a part of the Masses on Tuesday mornings whether as a reader, member of the chorus or as an older buddy have become a huge source of pride for our children. It has started a new family tradition in our home where I drive them to school and then attend their Mass. Being reminded that they are a beloved creation of God, not only at home, but also at school has made a difference in how they view themselves. To be able to share their religion and faith with others, to be able to pray with their peers, to be able to celebrate Christmas and not just “Winter holidays” has resolved the discrepancy and angst we didn’t even realize they were feeling because they had to tamp down those things in public school. At St. Francis Xavier they are able to be their authentic selves and that has completely changed their lives for the better.
We couldn’t be more pleased with Saint Francis Xavier School. Our family has been part of the school and community for 12 years and we feel it is part of our extended family. It’s very important to us that our children have a Catholic education. We are grateful for the parish and school support we have received to ensure that it is possible. Our daughter is enjoying middle school and adores her teachers.
